Bullets and fire in Long Island

Around 2:30pm this afternoon, police closed off Lacy Court in Blue Point reporting a fully involved car fire. Further investigation confirmed the single occupant in the vehicle died.

This is by Wilson Street.

During the fire, bullets were fired off from the vehicle.

After the fire was brought under control, a gun was also inside the vehicle according to police.

The medical examiner transported the body pending autopsy.
