Bronx man sentenced to year and half for touching and exposing o 9 year old girl inside 7 train in Queens

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz today announced that a 41-year-old Bronx resident has been sentenced to 1 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted sexual abuse. On February 14, 2019, the defendant stood next to a young girl on a south-bound 7 train and exposed his genitals and also placed his penis on the child?s forearm.

District Attorney Katz said, ?The defendant in this case exposed himself and touched the little girl with his genitals as she rode the train with her mother. The subway should be safe for all users, especially children. The defendant admitted his guilt and will be punished for his actions.?

The District Attorney?s Office identified the defendant as Ronald Dudley, 41, of East 135 Street in the Bronx. Dudley pleaded guilty in July to attempted sexual abuse in the first degree before Queens Supreme Court Justice David Kirschner. Today, Justice Kirschner sentenced the defendant to 1 ½ years in prison, to be followed by 5 years? post-release supervision.

DAKatz said that, according to the charges, on February 14, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Dudley boarded a southbound No. 7 train at 61 Street and Woodside Avenue. After boarding the train, the defendant approached the 9-year-old victim, who was standing and holding onto a pole. Dudley held onto the same pole and stood next to the child, exposed his genitals and then placed his exposed penis against the child?s forearm. The defendant then exited the train when the girl yelled out for help. The defendant was apprehended the following day after video surveillance of the incident was circulated in the media.
