Broadway to be car free for one day

NYC Council is working to make Manhattan a place for car free like other world cities are. The first beta version will launch on April 22. Broadway between 47th Street to 14th Street will be closed all day and open the road for pedestrians and bicycles. Based on the analysis, additional planning will be in the works. This is the second year after last one was planned poorly due to lack of notice to drivers. pic from NYC Council. Reported 1:30pm.
