Both construction workers identified from the shooting in Manhattan

Sam Perry, 44 of Far Rockaway, Queens was identified as the suspect who shot Chris Sayers, 37 of Plainview, Nassau County. Sayers terminated Perry from the construction job on Monday, October 2 after not performing the job as expected. The shooting occurred on Thursday, October 5 after 7am in the 37th floor of a new construction building at 645 West 59th Street near 11th Avenue. Sayers died after the incident and later Perry shot himself on the 5th floor dead from self inflicted gunshot wound. According to police, Perry had three priors with two for assaults and one burglary. A 9 mm semi automatic gun was recovered from the 5th floor.
