Bill introduced to stop live animal slaughter in NY

The bill, A.10399/S.8291 introduced in both Assembly and Senate to halt live slaughter of cows, goats, sheep, calf and chicken after the coronavirus outbreak. This came after residents fear live slaughterhouses piled up dumpsters filled with corpses of animals with blood dripping on the streets. The legislature outlined such activities can pose serious health risks. The bill is heading for votes after both Assembly and Senate are back to work next week.
