Bike rider struck by vehicle died in Flushing

This morning around 9:30am, police closed off 41st Avenue by Bowne Street reporting a female riding a bike struck by a vehicle died. The victim, 61, was taken to a local hospital where she died. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

From a witness, the driver was making a turn when the incident occurred.

The investigation continues.
