Bike rally to make one route permanent in Jackson Heights

On Saturday, October 24 at 10:30am, there will be a rally to make 34th Street close permanently for bike lanes from 78th Street by Travers Park to 114th Street before the parkways. During the pandemic, 69th Street and Junction Boulevard on 34th Avenue was closed between March 27 to 30 from 10am to 7pm as part of the pilot program. Now a group of bike activists want to make the route stretched and permanent. The event is open to the public.
