Big Apple Connect Program launched

NYC launched free wifi and cable for public housing. Woodside Houses and Queensbridge Houses in Astoria, one of the largest voter base for Queens will be the first two to have these free services funded by taxpayers.

Moreover, a $30 discount for cell services is also applied for residents.

The wi-fi will allow children to have remote learning and parents can enjoy cable services to relax with movie networks.

Within the next three months, more than 250 public housing residents will have the three services to enjoy.

Big Apple Connect is a partnership between the City of New York and Optimum.
