Belmont Stakes on track with fans this year The NY governor announced Belmont Racetrack is set to open with a live audience starting April 23. The indoor capacity is 20% with either a vax card or negative test result. The other location, Saratoga Racecourse is also slated to open with a live audience. A new hotel in Queens Village is set to open on time for the out of towners for the events running up to June, the main program, Belmont Stakes which is next to the LIRR. A new station is also in time to open, the LIRR in Elmont. The governor stated the capacity will increase with more announcements in the coming weeks.
