At the same time, NYPD had increased police presence at hotels acting as shelters. Overall, its all cahoots to garner votes while campaigning. So far the mayor and Dept of Homeless Commissioner Steven Banks can't resolve the issue between the complaining residents and homeless placed in their communities to find a better way.
