Be kind and turn slowly around curbs

The newly installed road curbs are without announcement so if you are a long time driver on the same route, the Dept of Transportation advises all to turn slowly while making a left turn on major roads. The newly installed curbs at the red light intersection locations are Hillside Avenue in Floral Park, Springfield Blvd in Queens Village, Northern Blvd coming soon in the Douglaston and Little Neck vicinities.

The NYPD reported single vehicle accidents involving curbs including dividers that were not expected by drivers without notice.

It is up to each driver to stay alert and make the changes on the road to follow new signs and setups.

Insurance costs are already high.
