Bayside package theft suspect extradited to Miami for another crime

Nayid Melo, 28 was arrested on September 11 after he was caught in the act for stealing a package from Bayside home. He was cuffed on 209th Street and 35th Avenue after the resident submitted surveillance video of the crime. He was charged with petit larceny, trespassing and criminal possession of stolen property. He was also charged with drug possession in his pocket. After his arraignment, Miami police alerted NYPD of Melo wanted for grand theft. He was extradited to Miami.
