Bark to rant all the time unheard on Roosevelt Avenue

Ok, let's go to Friday night, March 21, brothels continue to operate as usual on Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona and its stretch along with illegal massage parlors.

Despite NYPD knowing, when they patrol by walking, victims of alleged human trafficking go into hiding or shutter their storefronts momentarily and then resume operations.

When approached by a local cop, the response is just a nod when asked of such activities.

Then on Sunday, local residents gathered again in front of NYS Assembly candidate Hiram Monserrate to demand more actions.

One strong enforcement on Roosevelt Avenue is moped regulations while illegal vendors are very few.

However, the oldest profession continues to operate as usual.

A candidate for the Mayor, Jessica Ramos refused to speak out on the issue blaming it all on the current Mayor. The other elected officials are also not responding.

Several former staffer of the local elected officials say they all know the consequences if they decide to combat the issue since cartels run the area with a massive group of gangs. Some blame it as a federal issue due to the migrant crisis.

The NYS Governor's office say only programs can help the victims but most don't come forward due to fear and retaliation to their family members in native countries.

The resources to clean up require around $50 billion which neither the city or state are willing to go forth that can take years and years for NYC alone.
