Attempted robbery shooting upgraded to homicide in Flushing

The NYPD reported one of the victims who was shot during an attempted robbery turned into shooting in Flushing has died from the wounds.

The incident was reported on December 19 around 9:30pm inside the basement of a location in the vicinity of Haight Street and 41st Avenue where three suspects attempted to rob the place. During the altercation, two people were shot. The other one was released from the hospital.

Local neighbors reported there are illegal gambling activities in the area and there are frequent disputes late at night.

The NYPD has not made any arrests so far and the investigation is ongoing for the suspects who are at large.
