Assault investigation leads to rape incident in Bellerose

Bellerose - Police were called to a residence at 88th Avenue and 242nd Street around midnight on April 7. During investigation, a victim told police of assault inside the house and was taken to hospital with injuries. At this time, the victim told police of rape after questioning. Police arrested the suspect afterward. Additional details were not provided. Reported 4:30pm.
