Assault burglary and theft in three days at a home in Bellerose

Police were called to a home on 242nd Street between 81 and 82nd Street in Bellerose on an intruder alert. When police arrived, the suspect was uncooperative and assaulted police officers. It happened on May 3 early afternoon. The male was hauled to the local precinct.

The next day, police were called for residential burglary at the same house around 9pm. Again the male was hauled to the local precinct.

Then the next day, police were called for an intruder alert and was caught by police with stolen items around early afternoon. Again, the male was hauled to the local precinct.

For now the male hasn't been at the same home but targeted different ones in the same vicinity.

Residents are advised to lock doors and windows all the time for safety.
