Arrest in Searingtown for incident in Albertson

The NCPD reports the arrest of a male juvenile and an Albertson female for an incident that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 3:55 PM in Searingtown.

According to detectives, Rabiah Rafiq, 18, of Albertson, drove a male juvenile, 14, to the Shelter Rock Jewish Center located at 272 Shelter Rock Road. While at that location, the male juvenile damaged a “We Stand With Israel” sign. They both fled the scene in a gray Porsche.

Subsequent to an investigation, both defendants were placed under arrest without incident.

Defendant Rabiah Rafiq is charged with Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She will be arraigned on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.

The male juvenile defendant is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th Degree as an

E-Felony/Bias Crime. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Nassau County Family Court, Westbury.
