Armed robbery at deli on Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose

Police are reporting armed robbery at the corner deli on Jericho Turnpike and 246th Street in Bellerose. It happened around 3pm. Reported there were two suspects and they took off in a vehicle, Honda Accord toward westbound Cross Island Parkway. Now police are on Union Turnpike between Cross Island Parkway and Little Neck Parkway reporting search for the same robbery suspects. Chopper and K-9 notified. Reported the robbery continued on Cross Island Parkway west until vehicle was abandoned on Hillside Avenue. Now the suspects are on foot hiding somewhere. Police reported one perp was seen heading to the park on 249th Street. Ongoing investigation.
