Armed robbery at Staples in Astoria

Police are reporting armed robbery inside Staples store at 24-41 31st Street in Astoria. The suspect, male, Asian, bald in white sweater went inside and displayed a knife to the counter demanding money.

There was no food to steal allowable by the local politician and the suspect preferred cash.

There were no injuries. Ongoing investigation.
