Arab community outraged over two murders in NYC

Hamoo Saeidi, 86 years old was killed during a random shooting in Queens. All Saeidi did was arrive in America in 1962 from Yemen for a better life raising his family. The suspect has been charged with murder but the motive is still unknown due to ongoing investigation.

Bassam Abdel Rahman al-Khatib, 35 escaped from Jordan in 2015 for a better life in America for his two small children. He was shot dead while working at his own deli in Staten Island by two suspects early morning Sunday.

Mayor Eric Adams has called for getting more guns off the streets with more programs.

Now local elected officials are setting up gatherings for all to light candles to remember them while demanding an end to gun violence.

Again, guns are the problem that must be overlooked and need more funding for meaningful and engaging activities.
