Another death on Cross Island Parkway near the area

A 50 years old driver whose name is with held until family is notified died Saturday morning on Cross Island Parkway near Hempstead Turnpike exit. NYPD is still investigating the accident and alcohol is ruled out. Possibility of sleeping behind the wheel is what caused the car to hit the guardrail and flipping over ejecting the driver from the car. The victim died on the spot with severe trauma to head.
