Andy wants more cops after changing his tune in support of NYPD

First Andrew Cuomo, the front runner of the NYC Mayoral race says the plan is to increase transit police to 4,000, that's a 50% increase.

At the same time, hire more than 5,000 NYPD, that's a 15% increase.

While he was a Governor, he supported the defund the NYPD movement.

Some of the main police unions have endorsed Cuomo.

Now comes the recruiting spree.

On Saturday, March 22 from 3pm to 5pm at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream will have an NYPD recruitment crew to help all who are interested in joining the force. The filing period for the NYPD Police Officer exam ends March 25th, 2025.

Meanwhile, there are rumors swirling around that the current Mayor

Eric Adams has hinted at running as an independent.

As for the rest of the candidates, they have no chance to catch up to Cuomo's lead in the polls.
