Almost 100 million gift from taxpayers authorized by the Governor

The NY Governor announced $95 million from the state taxpayer fund to allocate to NYCHA residents on behind rent due to the pandemic facing eviction.

Another $425 million outstanding back rent due from NYCHA tenants. The Governor along with the Mayor was in Lower East Side Manhattan's public housing to make the announcement today.

Currently, three large public houses are the strongest voter base in NY. and they are the Lower East Side, Queensbridge Houses and Edenwald Houses in the Bronx.

1 in 17 residents lives in the public housing under NYCHA. For this the Legal Aid Society is launching Public Housing Unit to handle the work load.

As for those not living in NYCHA, please pay the rent or face eviction.
