All trucks soon to head to JFK

Today, the Port Authority did a ground breaking at the JFK for truck parking so those tractor trailers, rigs and jumbo sizes don't have to park on any Queens streets.

The existing lot will add more to a maximum of 150 trucks and is expected to open by 2026 as part of the revamp JFK's $19 billion project which is done slowly without a timeline when all are done once and for all.

Also the new construction lot will have restrooms and food stalls with all convenience in the same spot.

Back in 2022, the NYC Mayor's Office and NYPD worked in cooperation by removing trucks from the local streets and since then a demand was met for a single location for truck drivers who deliver all around.
