All interrogations are to be recorded in the entire NYS

Governor Cuomo signed the bill to a new law requiring people arrested must be videotaped during interrogations. This is for inside precincts, jails, DA's offices and holding areas. If no video recording is applied, the court can decide whether the statement is allowed or not. Governor Cuomo stated the purpose is to have a fair trial and guard against false confessions.
