A woman suffered burns after a stranger threw acid on her face in LIC

It happened on Wednesday, August 19 around 6pm in Long Island City. The woman, 59 year old victim was at 43rd Avenue and 33rd Street walking toward her car when a stranger started talking to her and then threw acid in her face. The acid contains an unknown substance and the victim realized the effect after she tried to get away.
