A woman stabbed in Ozone Park marking the first homicide in NYC

Police reported a 26 year old woman stabbed to death inside a home at Ozone Park. The body was discovered around 2pm on January 1st on 103rd Avenue and 113th Street. Meanwhile, at Forest Park in Kew Gardens on the same day around 11am, police were called to a 57 year old male found hanging from the tree. Police believes both are related and the investigation is ongoing. The homicide of the woman is the first in 2018 for NYC. Update - The victim has been identified as Stacy Singh, 26 and the suspect, Singh's husband, Vinny Loknath, 46.
