A pedestrian struck by school bus died in Kew Gardens

Police have closed Kew Gardens Road and 82nd Avenue next to Queens Blvd and Union Turnpike reporting a pedestrian struck by school bus and died. The bus driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. Ongoing investigation. It happened on Tuesday around 6:45am. Police did not disclose the victim's name, a 50 year old woman pending family notification. No children inside the bus were injured and were transported to school.
