A new bill created against squatters from taking over someone s home in NY

A new bill has been created to prevent squatters from taking over a private property in NY. NYS Representative Jake Blumencranz, a Republican from Long Island has come forward with the proposed bill. The bill will have a long upheaval battle since NY supports tenants more than landlords due to the large voter base to keep it under one party rule.

The proposed bill explains that a tenant is a tenant and squatter is a squatter as the difference. Under tenant law, all documents must be legally approved by the landlord and if the squatter doesn't provide the same, then police can intervene and make arrests instead of going to courts.
