A group at Glen Oaks Village wants smoke free zone

A group living in Glen Oaks Village Co-op wants the zoning to be smoke free. The group of residents who prefer to be anonymous stated after public housing in NYC became smoke free as of July 30, 2018, they are working to make the co-op the same. According to a board member who also prefers to be anonymous support the plan so the management can fine residents anywhere from $150 to $500 for each violation. The group stated their interest is safety of residents but implied marijuana odor is the main reason for such activity. They also stated more works are being done despite the long shot.
