945 bullet victims and 4 000 summer jobs is the solution to gun violence in NYC

The NY governor and mayoral candidate Eric Adams held a press conference today on gun violence. The solution is 4,000 summer jobs for at risk youths to prevent gun violence in hot spots that pays $15 an hour. The governor blamed judges for releasing criminals without bails.

As of today, according to NYPD, 945 bullet victims from 811 shootings in NYC, a record breaking. Last year had 796 bullet victims from 650 shootings in the same period. Most of the victims were under 18, says the governor. Also, the governor didn’t outline a plan for victims or suspects over 18.

Last night, three people were shot in Jamaica with no arrests.

The governor supported Adams by working on gun violence if elected but didn’t endorse yet.
