75 year old struck by vehicle in critical condition on Jewel Avenue

Police have closed off Jewel Avenue from Main Street to Park Drive next to Flushing Meadow Corona Park reporting a 75 year old has been struck by vehicle. The victim is in critical condition. During the incident multiple people were involved in fight with the people inside the vehicle leading to arrests. Highway CSI is investigating.
Update - The man died at the hospital and driver arrested.
Correction - It was a 75 year old man who was struck while walking with his grandchildren when the incident happened.
