6K vs 8K over food fight in Queens

On Saturday evening, the Queensbridge Houses as part of NYCHA, the largest public housing in NY reported free hot meals. Over 6,000 residents were ready to eat and then around 8,000 migrants showed up.

Then fights and assaults broke out.

Multiple people were injured.

The food giveaway was part of an annual Thanksgiving event for senior citizens and the disabled living in public housing.

The city officials didn't disclose if the migrants were invited or how they showed up.

The local city council member of the area encouraged migrants to eat where food vendors are able to provide at no cost but not at Queensbridge Houses where residents live to avoid clashes in the future.
