63 559 reached over 80 000 homeless in NYC

As of October 2018, the number of homeless people stands at 63,559 in NYC according to NYCStat shelter census.

The mayor's office has not released new stats for November and December. According to Housing Justice For All, a non-profit firm, there are over 89,000 homeless people and the number is expected to rise to 100,000.

Also data shows of 1 in 10 children in NYC are homeless.

The mayor's office didn't disclose why the homeless stat for November and December were not released to the public.
