3 dead in Elmhurst after house fire

FDNY confirmed multiple firefighters were injured after battling heavy fire in Elmhurst. It happened on 48th Avenue nd 91st Street around 5:30am. The address is 90-31 48 Avenue. As of now, 3 civilian are dead and more victims maybe underway after the roof collapsed. EMS reported of multiple injuries. According to the building dept, there has been numerous complaints of squatters and inhabitable conditions. The fire was brought under control around 9am. The investigation continues.
