23 year old woman killed after ejection in Grand Central Parkway crash police

Police claim that a 23-year-old woman passed away early on Sunday after being thrown from a Honda Accord during a collision on the Grand Central Parkway.

At approximately 4:07 a.m., police reacted to a 911 complaint regarding a car collision close to the Steinway Overpass and the Grand Central Parkway. According to the NYPD, Sunday.

Police stated that a 34-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord westbound in the right lane before veering into the left lane, according to a preliminary inquiry.

Before flipping over, the car struck a light pole and the barrier on the left side. The 23-year-old lady, who was in the back passenger seat, was thrown from the vehicle and onto the street.

Police stated that she sustained major trauma to her head and body and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where she was declared deceased.

At the scene, the 34-year-old motorist was taken into custody. There were no reports of any further wounds.

The NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is conducting the investigation.
