2 hour parking meters coming to NYC

Starting October 1, NYC will have 2 hour parking meters instead of one hour. This will on a borough to borough basis. The rate for the first hour is same and for second hour will be higher. Much higher. The change is automatically set for app users. There are 4 zones for parking meters in NYC.
Zone 1 is business districts outside of Manhattan. The first hour is $2.50 and $4.00 for second hour totaling $6.50.
Zone 2 is local retail districts with $1.50 for the first hour and $2.50 for the second hour totaling $4.
Zone 3 is all other meters in NYC with $1.25 for the first hour and $2.00 for the second hour totaling $3.25.
Zone 4 is Manhattan from 96 to 110 Streets with $2.50 for the first hour and $4.00 for the second hour totaling $6.50.
