16 years and 11 billion starts tomorrow from Queens to GC

The long awaited route now called Grand Central Direct is all set to go live tomorrow for the public from Jamaica using the LIRR.

The project cost $11.1 billion and took 16 years due to cost overruns for all involved to pay their mortgages.

It's a shuttle with limited service for now until it's all established to carry fully operational. The route time is 22 minutes according to the NYS Governor without any interruptions from crime to technical glitches. The original name was East Side Access.

This service will allow commuters from Long Island to arrive on the east side of midtown Manhattan rather than Penn Station on the west side. The first train will depart Jamaica at sharp 10:45am and arrive at Grand Central Madison at 11:07am.
