15 year old teen male shot dead in Central Islip

Police reported a 15 year old male was shot dead in Central Islip. It happened today around 3:45am in the vicinity of East Suffolk Avenue and Nagle Lane. So far there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. His name was not released pending family notification.Police reported the teen was chased by a group into a wooded area where he was shot to death. Three other teens escaped. Police has not stated if this is related to gang involvement.
