14 year old shot in South Ozone Park

Play ball to prevent gun violence didn't work in this incident.

Police reported a 14 year old was shot in South Ozone Park. The incident was reported last night around 9pm at the Frederick B. Judge Playground near Lincoln Street and 135th Street.

The bullet victim was in a dispute with a group until a suspect pulled out a gun.

EMS transported the bullet victim to a local hospital.

Police are searching for the suspect, male, 15.

Ongoing investigation.
