116th Precinct is back in southeast Queens

The NYC mayor announced that the 116th Precinct project will resume after budget cuts from last year. The same location will be the place to build the new precinct. Construction is expected to start with $105 million pledged. This will split the 105th Precinct in Queens Village into two. This is part of the new investments for youth empowerment to prevent violence and safe streets. So what it does really means is that the local communities are gathering to add more non-profits for funds from the city to print brochures and flyers to pass around on how to stay safe while administrator salaries will be a high nice round figures. Kids can learn the path to a minimum wage paying jobs. Also the area is making wave in politics with much needed votes where lots of activities are taking place.
