116 Precinct is on hold

The mayor's office confirmed of building a new precinct, 116 in northeast Queens to divide the 105th is on hold due to budget cuts. The mayor confirmed there will be budget cuts to various agencies if the state and federal doesn't provide funding in the next three weeks. The new precinct was to be setup on North Conduit Avenue next to the 105th Precinct satellite building. The 116 Precinct would have been for Laurelton, Brookville, Rosedale and Springfield Gardens to allow the 105th to focus on the east side, Queens Village, Bellerose, Floral Park and Glen Oaks. The mayor unveiled the the plan on July 2017.
