113 birthday celebration on Long Island

She is 113 years old lives on Long Island and she is an inspiration to millions.

Sister Francis Dominici Piscatella celebrated her 113th birthday in Long Island, New York. Recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest-living nun on the planet, she was born in 1913 and has been with the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville for over 90 years. Despite losing an arm in a childhood accident, she dedicated her life to teaching and religious service. She herself confessed that she stopped counting her years long ago but maintains a surprising vitality with a good sense of humor and total lucidity. The family party included cake and messages of affection from her community.
