Fire at the local Ford dealer in Hempstead

Firefighters are reporing heavy fire at 301 North Franklin Street in Hempstead. This is at the Ford Dealership near Garden City. The fire started in the dumpster and spread to the building. More than 100 firefighters are working at the scene. EMS is checking for injuries. One lane open for traffic on North Franklin Street.
